Trip Home
In June, I went home. Home is Kentucky. Living in Oklahoma, I miss the rolling hills, the massive trees, and the horse farms of the Bluegrass State. So I took a drive a couple of afternoons through the back roads of central Kentucky. Here’s a little of what I saw.
Shaded Horses
Kentucky is famous for its horses and beautiful horse farms. It also has a great deal of important history. Notice the 19th century stone fences that still remain.
Abe Lincoln spent his boyhood years in Kentucky. This is the view out the back of his cabin. Nice, huh?
This picture isn’t the best quality, but I took it through my windshield waiting to pass this Amish family. I was in no hurry and neither were they.
Kentucky is about as close to heaven as you can get in this world. Of course, I’m biased. I’m from there.
