Soul Pictures

Sometimes when words don’t readily flow, I flip through my pictures to see which ones I’m drawn to.  Perhaps if I study them long enough they can give clues to what’s happening within me.  Often, I’ll choose one of these to display on my desktop so I have opportunity to look at it every time I sit down in front of my computer.  I offer these as pictures of my soul at the moment with no comment.  Simply because I have no comments to share.

What do you see?

Simplicity, shadows, rigid lines, battered, functional, utilitarian, ready.

Maybe the focus should be what we don’t see in these pictures–the small door, the window, the oar.

What does it reveal of me that I am drawn to these images right now?

Perhaps I’ll find the key that opens this half-door to darkness soon.
