I know that fireworks pictures are a dime a dozen. I don’t claim that the one I post here is especially wonderful. More than anything, it represents a memory. For starters it reminds us of our nation’s founding, of the beginnings of a dream now 233 years ago. More specifically, however, it’s my reminder of the good time I had at a friend’s house on July 4th. A large gathering of acquaintances and friends came together to eat hot dogs, share life, and enjoy the celebration of fireworks in his front yard. My friend’s house sits on the top of hill. From his backyard, I could see a panorama of fireworks from scores of homes in the neighborhood and beyond. It is good to celebrate the good things we have.
